About The Line
The Line: Cave Diving is a cave-diving game for iPhone, iPad and Mac, made by Shaked Hetzroni, a solo developer in Israel, under MakeItWorthDesigns.
What the game is
The Line is a cave-diving game with no monsters: the cave is the threat. You follow a single guideline through six flooded cave systems, keep a third of your gas for the way home, and find out what happened to Nadia Vell, the diver who went into the Ciega system alone and never came back.
Built on the rules real cave divers live by
A continuous guideline is the only way home. The rule of thirds decides when you turn: a third of your gas in, a third out, a third kept. Touch the floor and the water turns to milk: a silt-out, zero visibility, one hand on the line. Every dive ends with an accident analysis that names the rule you broke.
What is in it
- Six cave systems, from a jungle cenote to an alpine expedition to a black-water spring, each with its own person on the surface and its own ending.
- 95 finds off the line, lost slates with treasure maps, and survey stations.
- A Daily Cave that is the same for every diver in the world, and a Weekly Cave with one special rule and a ghost of your best run.
- 17 languages, iCloud sync between iPhone, iPad and Mac, Game Center leaderboards and achievements, and game controllers.
- Free to try: the first three dives of Ciega and the Daily Cave. One in-app purchase unlocks the full game. No ads, no subscriptions.
Who makes it
The Line is made by Shaked Hetzroni, a solo developer in Israel, under MakeItWorthDesigns, a small studio that builds apps and video. One person designed it, built it, and brought it to 17 languages.
A game, not training
The Line is fiction and not cave-diving training. Real cave diving takes proper training with a qualified instructor.
